How to Tucker a Toddler

Its easy!

Step One-Take him for a 30 minute bike ride first thing after breakfast

Step Two-Spend an hour and a half at the zoo

Step Three-Stuff full of Wendy's French Fries

That's it after that D took a two hour nap, totally chilled for an afternoon of shopping and did not fuss at all when it was time for bath and bed! :)

Happy Fathers Day

Today was Kelly's day so we did what he wanted to all day!

Of course for lunch we had to have Chinese Buffet. Shared with our good friends Jamie and Ben. So glad to see them for awhile.

Then we went to the pool and had a great day swimming and sunning. Then Kel's favorite thing to do on a Sunday all three of us took a nap!

When D woke his parents up we went and got milkshakes and spent the rest of our time together at the park. It was a great day and Kelly loved it and his card that D picked out for him and signed.

I finally got some pictures of D taking care of his tiger. In this one he is giving him a kiss. Today I also caught him giving his baby some apples. But the minute we opened the door to the truck at the park he dropped his baby on his head to run to the swings. Guess his daddy instinct isn't that strong yet! LOL

Little D things

I don't have any pictures for today but some cute little things D has been up to. First I know why people don't understand other peoples kids. What would you think if D looked at you and said "choo choo bob". If you guessed he wants to brush his teeth you are right!
His toothpaste has Thomas the train on it and his toothbrush has Bob the Builder on it. So when it is choo choo bob time we go to the bathroom and let him brush his teeth!
He has also been perfecting his jumping skills! Not long ago when you said jump he would kinda make the motion and get one foot off the ground a couple of inches. No he squats all the way down to where his butt is almost touching the floor and then he springs up getting both feet off of the floor a couple of inches!!! He expect a round of applause for this and a lot of congratulations for his good jump!
The last thing that is just too cute is he has been giving all of his toy animals bites and drinks and hugs. The cutest is his tiger that he puts to bed when he leaves for the sitter and will always give a bite of whatever he is snacking on. It is just too cute to watch!

A Little Ahead for His Age

I fear as we come closer and closer to two my son is getting an attitude. Some would say he came by it naturally, but I definitely don't think I was as moody as he can be until I was thirteen. :)

He is a warm boy by nature so he just wears his diaper for his afternoon nap. I will let him play around the house like that too until its time to go outside. I don't want to burn his really white tummy!

I am knitting on a couple of things right now. To continue my obsession with socks I am making a rainbow pair for my grandma. One down one to go! I am also trying to make myself an orange cardigan. I do love my orange!

Hello June Good Bye Car Payments!!

Kelly and I accomplished so much last month I did not have a lot of time to do blog posts. Summer is always a hard time because we are outside so much but I will try to do better!!

The Manor is still working the debt free plan and we made big strides last month. We paid off two debts one being the truck! Yeah, it drives better now. :-)

Our next debt to knock off is our LAST credit card. It will take awhile but it will make all the extra hours both Kelly and I have been putting in worth it. We talk about when we will both be home with each other every evening and we can't wait. We know all this time apart will be worth it.

Daryl is up to his usual tricks. Mostly just climbing and getting into trouble. Since he now knows that biting is never ok he has started scratching. It really hurts and its a little harder to break him of this one. Maybe we should have him declawed!!

I have my knitting qued up as well as some books to read! I have to make the best of my me time in the evenings :-). I need to finish a pair of socks I'm making for my grandma Betty a cardigan for me and most important D's birthday sweater. After all august will be here before we know it and my little man will be TWO! Where does the time go. I promise it won't be so long until my next blog. Pinkie swear!!
