Real Quick

So Kelly has left the Manor for the day and night because he has a work conference. This story is the prime example of why its so important for him to be here.
Not because he does most of the cooking, I ate very well on leftovers thankyouverymuch. Nor is it because he kills the spiders, there are no spiders today.
Its mostly because Daryl likes it better when Kelly gives him his bath. But tonight I had to do. And since Daryl does love his bath he obliged and let me throw him in the tub.
After he plays for about twenty minutes and after I wash his hair, I start going after his other bits with the washcloth.
Now granted he did have a bubble bath but still...when I went to wash Daryls toes...ahem...they still had socks on them!!!
Hehe we both will need dad back ASAP. :)

Where has the time gone!!

I'm late with a new blog! But I have a few explanations:
1.) I started Walk Kansas recently and I've been using all my waking hours to walk/run or eat vegetables!!! This is mostly true and you can ask Kelly for those of you who don't believe I would eat a vegetable. :)

2.) The time changed on me. I hate to whine about it but I'm going to. I love the later sunset but I hate losing an hour of sleep. I would have rather gave my pinkie toe than an hour of my sleep. But I guess I could have only done that twice.

3.) My house is abnormally clean. Really, I've been cleaning, its weird. Maybe its the time change or the extra fiber, I have no idea.

4.)Since it got warm the only place Daryl has wanted to be is outside. We go to the park, we go to the library, we just pick up sticks. As long as its outside he is happy. (my computer is inside).

5.) FINALLY, Its March "freaking" 17th!! Really what happened to February. I feel totally betrayed by my Get Fuzzy page a day calendar. It is losing days faster than I can pick them up. Good thing its funny! :)

All the while this has been going on Daryl has been playing in Grandma and Grandpas old boxes. Kelly has started running and tries to outdo me every time out. PS besides the fact that he has longer legs I still run farther than him! Ha
And Daryl keep saying cute things like "I want own mine cookie" and "I watchin basketball" this last one is funny only because he says it while staring at a blank wall and no TV is on! Must be the March Madness!!!

Are there Chicks in the House?

Why yes there is! Some of the classrooms that Ms. Brooke took eggs to hatched chicks. So Daryl got to Chick Sit this weekend. And he is being really good with them. Other than the one time he tried to high five one and smacked him in the head. It wasn't a hard smack and the chick is fine.

My surprise knit finally made it to its baby.

I made the classic Baby Surprise Jacket for my friends new son Sawyer. This knit is so cool because its knit flat with increases and decreases in rather odd places, then a little origami folding and voila you have a jacket.

The yarn is called sticks and stones and I automatically thought of this family because they love the outdoors so much. I hope little Sawyer loves it!

I've now refocused my attention to Kelly's 2010 2011Christmas sweater. I made a lot of progress today. I'm almost halfway done with the front and the back is already done. Then just two sleeves and some sewing and Kelly will finally have a hand knit sweater!
